Gandarvakottai, is a taluk headquarter of Pudukkottai district. It is a small town surrounded by the fallowing villages,parukkaividuthi, Aravampatti, Akkachipatti, Kattunaval,Valavampatti,naduppatti,nayakkarpaatti,siviyarkudikadu,athankaraipatti,mohanur,periyakkottai,pagattuvanpatti,mattakkal etc. From here, Thanjavur and Pudukkottai towns are nearly in equal distance. There are thirtysix revenue villages in this taluk. Gandarvakottai is my native place and I love it verymuch.
